When it comes to epic insults, no one could serve up a dressing-down quite like the Bard. Shakespearean insults are as creative as they are cutting. For the GDCF Comedy Break Episode 4, we've got something near and dear to the heart of a humble theatre actor like me. Thanks to this infographic from Charley Chartwell, you get a front-row seat to experience some of Shakespeare's best wily witticisms.
What makes Shakespearean insults so unique among put-downs? They're full of imagination, for one thing. The old English he uses is also widely regarded as being diffuse and circuitous.
