If you're with us on the Solution Fluency Activity Planner (and we hope you are), you may have seen some cool new things happening. We wanted to make sure we gave you some new teaching resources that were informative and useful in the classroom. Get introduced to them below.
Our first addition is the Resources section, which you can find on your profile page. Clicking on it will take you to a list of free and premium teaching resources. Free resources are available to all users on any plan; premium resources are available to users on Teacher Pro or School accounts.
We add new content to the Resources section regularly, so check back often and see what's available. One of our newest premium resources is the info-packed Solution Fluency Teacher's Companion.
It's got everything you need to help utilize, communicate, and facilitate the 6Ds of Solution Fluency in your classroom environments within the context of the required curriculum.
The Solution Fluency Teacher's Companion guide includes great tools such as:
Our next teaching resources feature is Premium Plans and Global Matters. Let's discuss them a bit more and see what they can do for you.
The premium plans on the Solution Fluency Activity Planner are plans written by the GDCF ourselves. The GDCF Ninjas have submitted hundreds of cool inquiry and PBL units to the database. If you're on a free or Teacher Basic account, you can get 3 premium units plans right away. Upgrading to a Teacher Pro account gives you access to hundreds more.
All Teacher Professional and School Account users can request a plan written specifically for their classroom. If you don't find what you are looking for, we will find it or have one of our Ninjas write it for you.
Click on our Chat button in the bottom right of the screen and tell us what you need. We'll need to know the following:
Part of the premium content we've made available to users on a Teacher Pro or School account are what we call Global Matters. These are super-quick teachable moments which are based on actual news from around the world.
Global Matters are designed to give you a way to teach Global Digital Citizenship with short engaging discussion-based lessons. They're an inspiring platform for teachers and students to talk about and assess what it means to be a Global Digital Citizen.
The Global Matters lessons are tied to the assessment framework from our book Mindful Assessment. They can be used as a regular conversation as part of things like pastoral care or student wellness, or you can use your imagination to expand them into full units of work.
We create new ones every week or so. Keep checking back for new content as it's posted. Our first one is free as a demo to all users. The other ones can be accessed by updating to a Teacher Pro account.
Each one of the Global Matters has these features:
We hope you enjoy these new teaching resources as you continue to work with the Activity Planner. Please stay in touch with us and let us know your questions, comments, and suggestions. Happy learning!
